Language of Music

30 01 2007

If music is indeed the spice of life, then the ability to speak the language of music is a critical part of any language, no less Lithuanian. I recently learned some of this ‘language of music’ in Lithuanian over a lively discussion about some of this era’s greatest and classic musicians such as The Backstreet Boys, Emma Bunton, S Club 7, Spice Girls, Wham, and many more!

Here’s what I’ve learned so far:

Klausausi muzikos
I am Listening to music  (p.s. Thanks to Rusne for catching this!)
Kokios grupes tau patinka?
What bands do you like?
Ko tu megsti klausytis?
What do you like listening to?

About boy/girl bands

As dievinu Backstreet Boys/Emma Bunton
I love Backstreet Boys/Emma Bunton!
NSync yra pati geriausia grupe pasaulyje
Nsync is the best group in the world!
Nick iš BSB turi nuostabius plaukus
Nick from Backstreet boys has beautiful hair!
Kuris grupes narys yra karsciausias?
Which band member is the hottest?

Any ‘pearls of wisdom’ on how exactly to discuss music in more detail would be appreciated! Plus I’m sure there are some mistakes there so catch them if you can!

Iki!
