How to Greet Lithuanians?

It is probably more important to learn how to greet people in Lithuania before you learn to cuss at them so here are a list of phrases to use in greeting people.

Labas – Hello
Kaip einasi? (informal) – What’s up?
Kas gero? (Informal) – What’s up? i.e. Kas gero player?
Kas naujesnio? - What’s going on?
Kaip laikaisi? or Kaip tu laikaisi? – How are you?

Cursing Like a Sailor in Five Words or Less!

Being new to a country, it is always handy to know how to start fights, so I decided to learn exactly. Here are a list of the top 5 words/phrases that I learnt that will surely induce anybody to throw a fist.

1. Eik nachui – Fuck off (Apparently this is Russian and not Lithuanian!)
2. Kale - Bitch
3. Sudzius – Asshole
4. Ispera - Bastard
5. Lopas - Dickhead (although apparently there are many words for this… expect a post on this word soon!)

I’m a complete beginner learning Lithuanian because I hear the chicks in Lithuania are hot. So I made a lithuanian friend who, out of the kindness of her lithuanian heart decided to teach me the language in seemingly spontaneous lessons/retarded discussions. This is my own personal attempt to keep my Lithuanian learning logged online and hopefully help any other newbie learners to the language. Don’t expect any form of coherence in this site. I am all over the place.
